Creating an Activity Log

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as software without errors. If you send us a bug report that we're not able to reproduce on our computers, we may ask you to create an activity log for us that traces the steps leading to the error. Only you can start and stop activity logging.

While activity logging is enabled, Citavi creates a protocol of each action taken and records any error messages. Only you can start and stop activity logging. While activity logging is enabled, Citavi creates a protocol of each action taken and records any error messages.

Only enable activity logging if you were asked to by the Citavi Support team:

1.Log in to your Citavi account.

2.Click the question mark in the upper-right corner and then click Additional help.

3.Click Create activity log.

4.Under the explanatory text, click Create activity log again. A notification will appear to let you know that logging is enabled. You can click the notification to hide it or wait until it disappears.

5.Perform the steps that led to the error in the past.

6.If the error occurs again, stop the activity logging. Click the question mark in the upper-right corner and then click Additional help > Stop activity log.

7.Please also add your email address and a short description of the error and the actions you performed before it occurred.

8.Click Send and stop activity log.
