Abbreviations of journal names

Many citation styles require the use of abbreviations instead of full journal names. Read the guidelines for your desired citation style to learn whether/how to appropriately abbreviate journal names.

1. To edit the name of a journal and its abbreviation, click the name of the journal.
2. Click Edit.
3. Make your changes.
4. Click OK.

Abbreviations of organizations

Some citation styles require that organizations sometimes be cited by their abbreviation, for example, "UN" instead of "United Nations".

1. Click the name of the organization.
2. Click Edit.
3. Enter the abbreviation in the Abbreviation field.
4. Click OK.
