Assigning Categories

Categories help you group references, quotations, or thoughts that have similar contents or something else in common.

Assigning categories to a reference

  1. Select the reference you want to assign a category to.
  2. Select Content.
  3. Select the blue Categories field label.
  4. Check the boxes for the categories you want to assign.
  5. Click OK. okay_o_black

Assigning a category to multiple references

  1. In theReferences workspace, in the Show column, click Categories.
  2. In the All References column, select the desired references. The Handles icon_draging will appear to the left of the references.
  3. Click one of the Handlesicon_draging.
  4. Hold down the mouse button to drag the Handles icon over the desired category.

Assigning Categories to a Quotation or Thought

  1. Create a new Quotation or Thought.
  2. Enter the text of the quotation or thought.
  3. Then select the blue Categories field label.
  4. Check the boxes for the categories you want to assign.

Assigning a Category to Multiple Knowledge Items

  1. In theReferences workspace, in the Show column, click Categories.
  2. In the All Knowledge items column, select the desired Knowledge items. Handles icon_draging icons will appear to the left of each reference.
  3. Click one of the Handlesicon_draging.
  4. Hold down the mouse button to drag the Handles icon over the desired category.
  5. Select whether you wish to add the category or replace the existing category.
