Exporting to Another Citavi Project

You may sometimes wish to move references from one Citavi project to another, for example if your research interests have diverged in different directions. Or you may wish to copy content to a new project in order to prepare a collection of relevant literature to share with colleagues. When you do this, you have the option to exclude certain data from the export. This can be helpful, for example, if a project contains PDF documents that you do not wish to share for copyright reasons.

  1. Click More more_o_black.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Click Copy or move to a Citavi project.
  4. In the References area, select from these options as desired:
    1. All references selected
    2. All references in the current selection
    3. All references in this project
  5. Select the desired action: Copy or Move (moving references deletes them from the source project).
  6. In the Options section, select the content to be copied or moved:
    1. With attachments
    2. With quotations
    3. With ratings
    4. With categories
    5. With keywords
    6. With groups
  7. Select the Target project.
  8. Click Copy or Move.
