Duplicating a reference

You may sometimes wish to use an existing reference as a template for adding a series of similar references more quickly, for example when adding the various volumes of a multi-volume book.

Citavi allows you to create a copy of an existing reference, which you can then edit as needed.

  1. Open the reference you want to use as a template.
  2. Click More more_o_black.
  3. Click Duplicate reference.
  4. Citavi creates a copy of the current reference and adds [Copy] to the title and short title. Make any necessary edits to the copy.
