Research involves a number of tasks: you need to double check your references, borrow books, make copies, and more. Use the Task Planner to keep track of tasks which still need to be done or have already been completed.
In the Reference Editor, on the Tasks & locations tab, you can add tasks to the current reference:
When you switch to the Task Planner, you see all tasks in the project.
