Citing Quickly
Usually you will insert your quotations into your document using the Citavi Add-In for Word or the Publication Assistant. If you just need a single quotation and its source information, you can also use the Clipboard. This can be useful if you want to let one of your colleagues know about a text passage, for example.
- In the Reference Editor, switch to the Quotations tab. Or highlight the quotation or thought in the Knowledge Organizer.
- In the Knowledge Organizer on the toolbar, click Cite and then click Copy to Clipboard.
- Switch to your document and place the insertion point where you want to insert the quotation or thought. Press Ctrl+V to paste the quotation.
If you don't see the bibliographic information, click Tools > Options > Formatting. In the Quote knowledge items as drop-down menu, click Text, citations, and bibliography.
