Viewing Recently Added References

If you add references to your Citavi project with the Online Search or the Pickers, Citavi adds the new references as an import group. The name of the import group, which cannot be changed, contains the type of import (Online Search, File, or Picker import) and the date the references were added.

Citavi creates up to 25 import groups. Older import groups are automatically deleted. References in older import groups remain in the project – only the group is deleted.

You can use import groups if you later want to add keywords or categories to a group of references you added, if you want to batch add tasks, or if you want to double check the accuracy of the reference information for each source.

Viewing Recently Added References

1. In the Reference Editor on the View menu, select Show import groups column.
2. Click an import group.
3. Citavi displays a selection of references that were added at a specific point in time by you or another team member.
4. To see all the references in your project again, click Cancel selection.

Running a Search Again

If you added references using Citavi's online search feature, you can run the same search again:

1. In the Reference Editor on the View menu, select Show import groups column.
2. Right-click an import group
3. On the shortcut menu, click Edit.
4. Citavi opens the Online Search window. The database and search term are displayed automatically.

Deleting an Import Group

You can manually delete an import group:

1. In the Reference Editor on the View menu, select Show import groups column.

5. Right-click an import group
6. On the shortcut menu, click Delete.
7. Citavi deletes the import group but does not delete the references in the group.
