Creating an Account

You want to save your Citavi projects in the Citavi Cloud. To do so, you need a Citavi Account so Citavi can find your cloud projects.

There are two ways to open an account:

• Register with your Facebook, Google, or Microsoft account.
• Create an account with your email address.

Make sure you have an active Internet connection, and then perform the following steps:

Creating an Account with your Facebook, Google, or Microsoft Account

1. Start Citavi 6.
2. On the Welcome Screen, click the Login symbol:
3. Click Register here for free.
4. Select the provider you want to use: Facebook, Google or Microsoft.
5. Enter your email address (Google, Microsoft) or your user name (Facebook) and your password.
6. If you logged in successfully, your account will be enabled immediately.
7. Choose whether Citavi should remember you on the computer or not.
8. Select the provider you want to use: Facebook, Google, or Microsoft.
9. Enter your email address (Google, Microsoft) or your user name (Facebook) and your password.

Privacy Information

If you use a Facebook, Google, or Microsoft account to register, these services "know" that you have a Citavi account. You can check the app permissions for each service and restrict or remove them if necessary: Facebook, Microsoft, Google Plus.

Creating a Citavi Account with Your Email Address

1. Start Citavi 6.
2. On the Welcome Screen, click the Login symbol:
3. Click Register here for free.
4. Enter your email address.
5. Click Register now.
6. Enter your first and last names and a password that you'll later use to log in to Citavi Account.
7. Click Done.
8. You will receive an email. Click the confirmation button. After you've verified your email address, your Citavi Account is enabled.
9. Return to Citavi and enter your email address and password.
