Account
Citavi Account is where you create your user account on our server. If you are using a Citavi license, this license information is saved in your Citavi account. You can access your account with your email address and a password of your choice.
HTTPS
HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a communication protocol in the World Wide Web which is used to transfer data securely.
RSS feed
RSS is an abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication and Rich Site Summary. The RSS feed is an XML file with the file extension XML, RSS, or RDF which can be downloaded from a website. The provider updates the contents of the file regularly. The RSS reader can read and display the information in a reader-friendly format. In the RSS reader you can mark messages as read in order to hide them.
Server
A computer that makes services available for other computers.
Token
A (software) token contains encrypted information that lets you access services and content that has been made available to you.
Port
A port is an access portal through which data packages are exchanged between computers.
WebApi
A WebAPI is a programming interface. With it programs and webpages can exchange data with each other. The data can be content (for example, the bibliographic inforamtion for a book) or information about permissions that a user has to access other programs or content.
Webservice
A Webservice is a service that different software applications use to communicate with one another independant of the language of the computer in which applications were created.
