Importing a Settings File

If your organization has created a settings file for you, you should import it. The settings file usually will allow you to access many of the online resources your organization offers.

If your organization is using Citavi for DBServer, you will receive the settings automatically.

Importing settings in Citavi

  1. Click Tools > Import or export settings.
  2. Select one of the displayed settings files.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select if the settings should be automatically added if your organization makes changes to them.
  5. Select if you want to import all settings or selected settings you want to import.
  6. Click Finish.

Importing a Settings File from a Webpage

  1. Download the file from the webpage. If the settings file is in a ZIP archive, you first need to extract the file before you can import it into Citavi. To extract it, right-click the file name and then click Extract all.
  2. On the Tools menu, select Import or export settings.
  3. Select Importing settings.
  4. Click Browse, choose the settings file, and then click Open.
  5. Select the CSD file you downloaded.
  6. Select the settings you want to import.
  7. Click Finish.
