Citavi for Windows

When you purchase Citavi for Windows, you will receive a personal license key (i.e. a named license). Each license is assigned to one particular person. You can find your license in your Citavi account. If you don't yet have a Citavi Account, one will be created for you with the email address you used for your purchase.

If you're using a site license with an expiration date from your college, university, or organization, you can also find your license in your Citavi Account.

Users with a license are entitled to Citavi support services and can contact the Citavi team by email or in the Citavi Forum.

Ordering and managing licenses in companies and other organizations

If you purchases Citavi for Windows licenses as a company or organization, these licenses will first appear in the Citavi Account belonging to the person who purchased the licenses. He or she can then assign these licenses to individual colleagues using their email addresses. The users will be notified by email that they have been assigned a license and will be asked to create their own Citavi accounts. They can then find their individual license key there.

The license administrator can maintain an overview of all of the licenses in his or her Citavi account.
