Importing with the Hunter

Good research databases almost always offer the possibility to export search results. Usually you have the choice of several export formats. The most widely used formats are RIS, EndNote Tagged and BibTeX.

The disadvantage of an export is that the user first has to select references and then search for the export option on the website: Export, Download Citations, Export to EndNote, etc.

However, some providers include bibliographic information in the source code of the webpage using special metatags. The Citavi Picker has a special feature called the Hunter that can read these metatags if they are in COinS or HighWire Press format.

Please note that that the information you see on the webpage and the information in the HTML code of the webpage often differ.
