Subscribing to a Search Alert Feed

Unlike a news feed, a search alert feed is generated dynamically after you perform a search in a database or catalog. The process is described below using the example of PubMed:

Preparations in PubMed

1. Perform your search in PubMed. Underneath the Search field click the RSS icon.
2. Click Create RSS.
3. Set the options as desired.
4. Click Create RSS.
5. An RSS address will be created. Click Copy.

Adding the RSS to Citavi

1. On the Citavi Welcome Screen, click RSS tools. Alternatively, in an already opened project, on the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click RSS / OpenURL.
3. Click in the Feed URL field.
4. Paste the link to the RSS feed from the Clipboard: Ctrl+V.
5. Click Add.
6. Click OK.
