Deleting or Renaming a Database

To delete a database start Citavi DBServer Manager. You need to be the database owner (dbo) or system administrator. Delete the database you no longer need under Actions > Database > Delete.

You can also use the Citavi DBServer Manager to rename a database. Please note that the Citavi DBServer Manager needs to be run on the same computer as the SQL Server.

In addition, Citavi DBServer Manager can be used to rename Citavi projects.

Whenever you rename a Citavi project or database on the SQL server, you'll need to create a new connection file to distribute to your Citavi users.
