Customizable Single File Export: Project/RIS
- In the Literature module, open the References menu and select Export to Zip. The export wizard is displayed.
- Click Next.
- Select Citavi project file or RIS file as the file format.
- Under File naming, select one of the following options:
- Project name – Retains the project name for the exported file. If you select this option, Add date is enabled by default to include date and time information in the file name.
- Other – Select this option to enter a custom file name. You can also enable Add date.
- Select whether you want to export all attachments or only the main attachments.
- Optionally, you can enable the following options:
- Enable Save annotations in PDF files to include highlights and notes in the exported PDFs.
- Enable Refresh metadata in PDF files to replace the PDF metadata with the reference metadata.
- (Optional) Under Preferences for renaming attachments, select a file-naming format. You can either import your own naming template via File using a Citation Key Template, or customize the default template under Custom. With the Custom option, you define the fields used, their formatting, separators, and exceptions.
- If required, select additional information such as online locations, notes, and so on.
- Select one of the following export options:
- Compress all files into a ZIP file – Click Browse and select the target folder where the ZIP file will be saved.
- Save all files in a new folder – Click Browse and select the target folder for all exported files.
- Click Export.
- When the export is complete, click Close.
The files are saved either as a ZIP file or in the selected target folder, depending on the option you chose in step 10.
