Ending a Running Word Process

Citavi's Word Add-In cannot be installed if a Word process is running in the background while Citavi is being installed. Here's how you can fix the problem:

End all running Word processes

End Word if it is still appearing in the Windows taskbar.

Open the Windows Task Manager: Ctrl+Alt+Delete

Search for the Microsoft Word process.

Select the entry, and click End task.

Reinstall the Citavi Word Add-In

1. Switch to the Windows Control Panel.
2. Click Programs and Features.
3. Click Citavi [version number].
4. Click Change.
5. Click Modify.
6. Click the red "x" next to Word Add-In and select This feature will be installed on local hard drive.
