Uninstalling an Outdated Word version

Citavi's Word Add-In cannot be installed if you are using an older version of Word. You need to be running Word 2010 or later to use the Citavi Word Add-In. Here's what you can do:

Install the current version of Office

Install the most recent version of Office. Do not install the Office version from the Windows store.

We strongly recommend not using two Office versions at the same time.

Reinstall the Citavi Word Add-In

1. Switch to the Windows Control Panel.
2. Click Programs and Features.
3. Click Citavi [version number].
4. Click Change.
5. Click Modify.
6. Click the red "x" next to Word Add-In and select This feature will be installed on a local hard drive.
