Changing the Language

Citavi's user interface is available in the following languages: English, German, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The first time you start Citavi, the language settings corresponding to those of your operating system are used. For example, if you're working with a English-language version of Windows, Citavi will start with an English-language interface. To change the language:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Change language.
  2. Select the language you want to use. After that Citavi will always start in the last language selected.

Please note:

If you need your bibliography to appear in another language, you need to change the citation style. Citavi's interface language has nothing to do with the language of the bibliography that you generate with Citavi.
