Sorting Quotations and Thoughts Automatically

Citavi can automatically sort your collected quotations and thoughts. Please use this feature carefully, since you can't undo an automatic sorting.

1. Switch to the Knowledge Organizer.
2. Select the category in which you want to sort quotations and thoughts.
3. On the Knowledge items menu, click Sort.
4. Select how you would like to sort:
   • By core statement (either alphabetically or by date)
   • Modified on
   • First by short title and the quotations from each title, then by modification date of thoughts
   • First by the sorting defined in your project for references, then by modification date for thoughts.

5. Click OK.

Warning:

A new automatic sorting will always be displayed in the preview first. When you click OK all manual sorting you did before will be replaced and cannot be recovered.
