Creating a Local Project

A Citavi project is where you store all the information pertaining to a particular topic. You can create as many Citavi projects as you want. If you are using Citavi Free, you can save up to 100 references glossary per project. In licensed versions, projects can include as many references as you like.

Start Citavi. On the welcome screen, click New project.

Enter a name for the project. As a default Citavi saves your project in the folder Documents\Citavi 5\Projects. If you want to work on a project with other people, click another location and select a network drive.

Citavi opens the new project. Now you can begin adding references.
