Distributing Connection Files

The feature described here is available in Citavi 5.3 and later.

If you want to install Citavi for multiple users via a software distribution system, you can save the DBServer Manager connection string in the InitialSetings.csd file and then distribute this file during the installation. Please take the following steps:

1. Open a project connection file on the DBServer. The connection string is automatically entered in Citavi under Tools > Configure DBServer.
2. Use the Administrative Settings Assistant to export the InitialSettings.csd file.
3. Distribute the InitialSettings.csd file during your installation of Citavi with your software distribution system.
