Word Add-In Installation Problems

If you don't see the Citavi tab in Word, there are two likely causes:

• Word disabled the Citavi Word Add-In.
• Citavi could not install the Add-In.

If the Word Add-In was disabled, try solution C in this article.

If the Word Add-In could not be installed, there are three likely reasons:

• A Word process was running in the background while Citavi was being installed.
• You are using a version of Word earlier than Word 2010.
• You are using the Office app from the Microsoft Store instead of the standard Office version.
