Why do I see a "Don't edit this field" message?

Citavi inserts citations into your text as fields. These fields are embedded in a Word content control. Avoid making manual changes to these fields, since your changes will be overwritten the next time the document is refreshed. To add or change page numbers, double-click the field. On the Citations tab you can make the changes you want. Misspelled author names should be corrected in your Citavi project.
If the cursor is still in the field after you insert it, press the Right arrow key to continue writing.

7 You may want to change the appearance of the citation. Click Insert advanced to do so.
